Dortmund Airport is the international airport located 10 kilometers east of Dortmund in Germany. The airport is situated just off the B1/A44 motorway, which leads directly into Dortmund city centre. A few kilometers east is the junction with the A1 autobahn, which travels northward to Munster and Bremen, and southward to Cologne. North of the airport, the east-west A2 autobahn connects with the A1. The airport has a maximum capacity of around 2.5 million pax and served approximately 2.3 million passengers in 2008.
